Thanks for your interest in the meeting this past Tuesday, October 13, 2026. We had a light crowd of 6 SNW members and Police Chief Jeff Lemmons in attendance. No Sabina residents were able to join us.

We discussed the following topics on our agenda, and I’ve added feedback to the questions below. Have more to add or ask about? Ask us!

  6. Police Force Position Updates:
    • 5 full-time officers including Chief, 1 part-time officer
  7. Wins/Losses for Autumn in Eden 2026:
    • Wins were, we had a great turn out for food and other vendors, and a beautiful day, until the rain hit. That was the loss. But another Win was the concert with Jesse Littleton moved to the Moose and they did the Cake Walk there too!
  8. Status of AES Power Polls Construction and Map:
  9. Trail Vandalism in Reesville:
    • Pat Harris in Reesville works with the Clinton County Trail Coalition to mow and maintain the Clinton-Fayette Friendship Trail from Melvin to Sabina and Sabina to North Borum Road. Pat built a shelter with a picnic table and kiosk showing the map of the trails in Sabina and Wilmington. There is also a trail counter near his shelter. It was reported that someone damaged and stole the counter and broke the plexiglass on the kiosk. Please keep your ears out for kids bragging about what they did.
  10. Trail Crack Sealing?
    • For the past 3-4 years, Clinton County has been planning to fill the cracks on the Clinton-Fayette Friendship trail from end to end with tar and cover with sand. But something has always come up. They are planning for it again this year, but not sure when. Please ask Clinton County for us!
  11. Current Village Issues for Police:
    • The Police Levy Renewal is a big issue for the Police and Sabina.
    • The other issue is getting the eAlerts for Sabina working again. Rumor has it they are no broke, they are just not getting used yet.
  12. Status on Utilities:
    • Gas (Center Point): The new lines and meter are going in around the Village.
    • Water: Still pretty sure that the Village is replacing old meter with new ones that can be read without taking covers off. Unsure of status.
    • Sewer: There were markers up for this over the summer but not heard more.
    • Alta Fiber: Still digging up things and plastic covers at homes still breaking. No service offers yet…
    • Repaving? The Village has been repaving some of the damaged roads from water line replacements and Alta Fiber work. Same for Center Point work.
  13. Permits and Resident Heads-up?
    • Railroad crossings are getting some work done, more to come!
  14. Village Ordinances and Penalties:
    • The Police are still issuing tall grass and messy home notices.
  15. Village eAlert status?
    • New Village Administrative Assistant still working on this.
  16. SNW Group Promotional Ideas:
    • Our meetings rarely have more than 10 people. Due to needs and effort to have monthly meetings with a low turn-out, the Sabina Neighborhood Watch group is considering moving to meetings bi-monthly rather than monthly.
  17. Flock Cameras:
    • Police Chief Jeff Lemmons has made the decision to discontinue the Flock camera program due to the cost and other issues that have come up regarding them.
