09/09/25 Meeting Notes

Meeting Notes:

  1. Flock Cameras – New Flock cameras are still scheduled to be installed around the Village. You can learn more about these devices here: https://www.flocksafety.com/products/license-plate-readers
  2. Speeders – Complaints about residents driving way over the speed limits around the Village got the attention of the Sabina Police Department and tickets are going out now. Curious how much you can expect to pay if you get a ticket in the Village? See here for more
    • Complaints about residents doing the same from Hulse Street heading towards Polk Road, wide open throttles… Watch out!
  3. Autumn in Eden – Sabina Fall Festival is on October 11, 2-9pm. See Village website for more. Food vendors, crafts, car show, and more!
  4. Grass and Trash Help – Considering options for helping residents with blighted properties get the yards cut and junk hauled away were discussed.
  5. Fall Cleanup – October 11 is the next 1-day cleanup with trash bins across from Sabina Park.
  6. Ordinances – Lack of ordinances in the Village was discussed. Many residents want the Sabina Police Department to fix all their issues, but many can’t be worked out due to a lack of ordinances. So maybe reach out to Village Council for making this happen?
  7. Police Intern – The Sabina Police Department has some extra help for a few weeks, as an intern has joined them and is doing a college rotation with others. If you see them say hi!
  8. Block Captains – We Block Captains were hoping to have residents come to us when they see things or have issues. But that has not happened, so we are going to try to get out to our Blocks and try to collect information on our own. Please reach out to us!
  9. New Guest – The Sabina Neighborhood Watch had a new guest tonight that is interested in helping us. Thanks for coming!

If you have any questions or comments about the Sabina Neighborhood Watch or your home or property? You can reach the group on our contact page or by emailing us at Sabina Neighborhood Watch.
